For the following reasons, the items listed below are not yet fully accessible:

1. Older content that is subject to technical restrictions

Some older applications, incorporated modules and documents (such as PDF files) do not yet fully comply with the WCAG 2.2 AA requirements. A systematic revision of these items is planned.

2. Disproportionate burden

In certain cases, adapting older content to make it fully accessible may constitute a disproportionate financial burden (Section 17 of BFSG). Such content will be taken into account in future major revisions.

3. Third-party content

In the case of incorporated content or functions (e.g. maps, videos or external tools) provided by a third party, the accessibility of these lies outside the immediate control of Stiegelmeyer GmbH & Co. KG.

In order to improve digital accessibility, the following measures, among others, are being implemented:

• The use of adequate colour contrasts for text and control elements
• Alternative texts for informative images and graphics
• Scalable content without a loss of information
• Main functions accessible via keyboard
• Visual focus highlights to aid keyboard navigation
• Clear and semantically structured HTML elements
• Fields in forms are labelled, and mandatory fields are indicated as such
• Option to pause moving content or content that starts up automatically
• Compatibility with common screen readers and assistive technologies

The website is subject to continual technical and editorial optimisation aimed at further reducing existing barriers.

This declaration was created, or last updated, on 20 February, 2026.

The assessment of compliance with the requirements is based on:

• a self-assessment
• and, where appropriate, supplementary technical checks in line with the WCAG criteria.

The declaration will be reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
